Facts at a glance: Angosians are nonviolent by nature, and have dedicated their society to the development of the mind and the cultivation of intellect. However, to fight their Tarsian War in the mid-24th century, the government chemically altered their military, converting them into "super soldiers" who were able to survive at any cost. When the war ended, however, these soldiers were imprisoned because the "changes" done to them could not be reversed.
The Angosians applied for Federation Membership in 2366, but the application was suspended when Jean-Luc Picard learned of the unrest involving the Angosian war veterans.
