Conference/Briefing Room
Like the rest of the modified bridge module, the briefing room is yet another room salvaged from the Intrepid design, however modified slightly - both walls have display monitors, and two exits lead to the central corridor that runs behind the bridge.
On any starship, a well-equipped and private briefing room is essential. The CO, and senior officers need a dedicated area, away from the rest of the crew in which they can discuss orders, mission objectives and thegeneral running of the ship, without fear of interruption, and with complete privacy.
Two large display monitors allow for the display of a wealth of information specific for discussion, and two replicator units allow easy access for refreshments in long meetings without the need for interruptions from departing and arriving officers. The three large windows look out over the rear of the ship, providing a spectacular view, however this is the only area for distraction, with the rest of the room having been purposely left sparse of decoration to prevent the loss of concentration in meetings by the officers present.
